My eyesight went bad when I started at high school. I was sitting in the back of the class and realized I couldn’t see anything the teacher was writing on the board – I couldn’t even see her face! Since then, glasses became my main accessory. I remember my first glasses, Harry Potter-ish ones from LaCoste. Through the years I had a bunch of designs and now I have an entire collection of accessories for the eyes. The thing with glasses is, the problem with design and fitting. Because of the fact they are on your face, so it’s kind of part of your whole being when you are a wearer of optical glasses. So I was very happy when Eyelove approached me to design three glasses of my own, not just for me, but for everyone – you can buy my designs from January 2015.
Eyelove is a Dutch supplier of affordable quality glasses – you can have your style of prescription (sun)glasses for 49 euros. Today, optical glasses are more of a fashion accessory, so its nice to have a couple of stylish pieces and switch whenever you feel like it.
For inspiration, we traveled to Paris during fashion week with the group of bloggers who joined this fun collaboration. We even visited a glasses fair to get more information on the production process of the glasses. The blogger team consist of Lizzy from Lizzyvdligt.com, Bas & Frank from Colourfulrebel.com, Serena from Beautylab.nl, Annic from Ilovefashionnews.com and Lucy from lovelybylucy.com.
Curious about our designs? You’ll have to wait until January next year, but in the meantime you can check out the pictures an movie clip we’ve shot during our trip and meetings.
