Kings and carrots

Tomorrow will be the first ever Kingsday in Dutch history (it has been Queensday for decades!). Amsterdam based glasses label Ace & Tate has partnered with the Gourmand Journal in celebration of this festive event. Ace & Tate is a brand that offers affordable design glasses!

Beta-Carotene, a red-orange pigment found in orange foods and plants, contains Vitamin A, which is essential for a healthy life! This and Kingsday has led Ace & Tate to focus on orange carrots for this collaboration. The orange carrot was named as the Royal vegetable in honor of the House of Orange, the Dutch Royal family!

That is why the carrot plays the lead part in the new image created for Ace & Tate by The Gourmand. It features a specially created frame from the brand… Like a tribute to our Dutch King and his birthday on King’s Day!
